A few tips for parents:

• Plan for your time – read through the guide and prepare the room where you are gathering
• Make your time joyful – have fun!!!
• Remember, it’s primarily about a relationship, not a task to scratch off
• Have your kids participate in age and maturity appropriate ways – reading, singing, etc.

Psalm 111 (ESV)

LEADER: Praise the Lord! I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart, in the company of the upright, in the congregation. Great are the works of the Lord, studied by all who delight in them.
 
PEOPLE: Full of splendor and majesty is his work, and his righteousness endures forever. He has caused his wondrous works to be remembered; the Lord is gracious and merciful.
 
LEADER: He provides food for those who fear him; he remembers his covenant forever. He has shown his people the power of his works, in giving them the inheritance of the nations.
 
PEOPLE: The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy; they are established forever and ever, to be performed with faithfulness and uprightness.
 
LEADER: He sent redemption to his people; he has commanded his covenant forever. Holy and awesome is his name!
 
PEOPLE: The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!

PSALM MEDITATION – Psalm 19:7-11 (ESV)

LEADER: The law of the Lord is perfect,
reviving the soul;

PEOPLE: The testimony of the Lord is sure,
making wise the simple;

LEADER: The precepts of the Lord are right,
rejoicing the heart;

PEOPLE: The commandment of the Lord is pure,
enlightening the eyes;

LEADER: The fear of the Lord is clean,
enduring forever;

PEOPLE: The rules of the Lord are true,
and righteous altogether.

LEADER: More to be desired are they than gold,

¹ Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord,
   who walks in his ways!
² You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands;
   you shall be blessed, and it shall be well with you.
³ Your wife will be like a fruitful vine
   within your house;
   your children will be like olive shoots
   around your table.
⁴ Behold, thus shall the man be blessed
   who fears the Lord.
⁵ The Lord bless you from Zion!
   May you see the prosperity of Jerusalem
   all the days of your life!
⁶ May you see your children’s children!
