A few tips for parents:

• Plan for your time – read through the guide and prepare the room where you are gathering
• Make your time joyful – have fun!!!
• Remember, it’s primarily about a relationship, not a task to scratch off
• Have your kids participate in age and maturity appropriate ways – reading, singing, etc.

PSALM MEDITATION – Psalm 29:3-9 (NASB)

LEADER: The voice of the Lord is on the waters;
The God of glory thunders,
The Lord is over many waters.

PEOPLE: The voice of the Lord is powerful,
The voice of the Lord is majestic.

LEADER: The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars;
Yes, the Lord breaks the cedars of Lebanon in pieces.

PEOPLE: He makes Lebanon skip like a calf,
And Sirion like a young wild ox.

LEADER: The voice of the Lord divides flames of fire.

PEOPLE: The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness;

 John 1 (NIV) 

¹ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ² He was with God in the beginning. ³ Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. ⁴ In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. ⁵ The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it….

¹⁴ The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

1 Corinthians 15:3-4

LEADER: For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received…

CONGREGATION: That Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
and that He was buried, 
and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 
and that He appeared to Peter, then to the twelve. 
After that He appeared to more than five hundred at one time.

Psalm 29:10-11 (NASB)

LEADER: The Lord sat as King at the flood;

PEOPLE: Yes, the Lord sits as King forever.

LEADER: The Lord will give strength to His people;

ALL: The Lord will bless His people with peace.

Luke 12:29-32

LEADER: Do not seek what you are to eat and what you are to drink, nor be worried. For all the nations of the world seek after these things, and your Father knows that you need them.
