Tropical Storm Irene Relief 2011
In response to the local and regional flooding following Tropical Storm Irene, CRC held a food and clothing collection on Sunday, September 4th. The food and clothing were donated to the Upper Valley Haven which is distributing both food and clothing to those who have lost so much in the recent floods.
We planned to collect for two weeks, but the outpouring of items from CRC and the community became more than the Haven could handle at one time. As you can see in the photos above, the Suburban was filled to the brim with clothing and non-perishable food items.
We re-scheduled our second collection for Sunday, October 2nd. Again we collected food and clothing. We also collected cleaning supplies to help families as they continue to clean up flood damage. Another full load was delivered to the Upper Valley Haven.
We’re thankful that we’re able to help the Haven meet the needs of our Upper Valley neighbors during this difficult time.
