Welcome Back Cook-in 2013
On Sunday, September 22nd, Christ Redeemer Church held our annual fall social, the “Welcome Back Cookout”. This church social is organized by Dartmouth students as a way to welcome new students, families, and individuals and to build connections within the church.
Weather predictions led to a last-minute change of venue and our picnic and fellowship time was held inside the lobby area of Hanover High School directly following the worship service. The lobby provided plenty of seating and space for families, students, visitors, and children to visit and enjoy a tasty lunch together. Record attendance at that mornings worship service led to a long line, but everyone waited patiently and enjoyed the opportunity to talk as they waited. We estimate that we served over 300 people for lunch!
Thank you to all who helped prepare food and to our student ministry interns Caroline Suresh, Drew Wong, and Andrew Zulker for organizing the time.
